OVERVIEW
FirstLight is very stable and system friendly -- it will not interfere with any application, screensaver or INIT, nor will it take up any of your computer’s memory.
FirstLight is able to accomplish this because it is an application instead of an "INIT" or "EXTENSION". This means that when your computer boots, FirstLight installs the image you will see the NEXT time you boot. FirstLight then quits, removing all traces of itself from your computer's memory.
WHAT IT CAN DO
Each library can consist of any combination of graphics and text.
These images are presented sequentially, though you may also set an image to appear on a given date or for a particular month.
Example Libraries:
1) Each day your Startupscreen will show a different image taken sequentially from your current FirstLight library. However, you may also choose yo insert personal reminders on specific dates, e.g. “Mom’s Birthday!” or “Dinner at Lulu’s.” In this way, FirstLight can function as an event calendar.
2) A vocabulary building library of interesting words and their definitions.
3) On This Day in History.
4) Photos of your children.*
* See “How Do I” under the help menu for information on how to do this.
And a million other uses: quotes, jokes, modern art, impressionist paintings, super-models etc. etc. etc.... you get the idea.
